My truck was towed while playing Pokemon Go at Nicholls State

I was in distance of the vehicle to get back in time for campus police to tell me to move it or get off campus.
However, they still towed my vehicle.
Is this the campus police just being an arse because I lift, BJJ and have decent cardio?
