are you going over there to demand your truck back, and I'd ask for the money for the gas they used

Hopefully they finger print and DNA swab that puppy, but I doubt they will. They'll just take this win that OnStar gifted them and move on with their day.

I'd be shocked if NOPD even writes a report. They'll probably tell him to get in touch with On-Star to find his vehicle and thank you for his temporary reparations.

would be a better story if the thief filled up the truck with gas for OP.

Damn too bad they didn't rob a bank using the truck. It would've made for a much more exciting story.

nah... just have a cop stake it out... wait for someone to get into it and as soon as they pull off... hit them with the woop woop

if the OP's lucky... the perps won't try to make a break for it and smash it into a light pole or another car

ETA: but as lsu xman's post above suggests... tOT is hoping it gets involved in a high speed pursuit involving helicopters and everything

Yeah that's a good call. Doubt they can get eyes on it without alerting the neighborhood.

Those people can spot cops like hawk spots a field mouse.

an unmarked unit won't attract attention... what with all the white crown vics in a NOLA East apartment complex parking lot to start with

I don't know what's funnier... this or the fact someone left keys in their car in NOLA

Yeah, you're not getting anyone near that area without alerting the entire complex.

I saw a baw pulled over on.Airline.by two special forces looking guys. (Had to be feds) one had a pimped tacoma the other a beat to hell C1500.Silverado that would be old enough for a beer.
No one would suspect those of being undercover.

Notice if you drive I10 past Kenner and see their station. You can always see about a dozen covered cars. They constantly change out undercover cars. Kenner has probably 3.5 cars per officer, it's insane.

Happened to a friend of mine... he’s still getting red light camera tickets in the mail from whoever is ripping it up around the city in his stolen truck.

Good luck!

You managed to have your truck stolen, post on OT, police arrive, look at the neighbors HD video, contact Onstar, post on OT again, locate your truck and have police on scene in East NO apartment, post on OT again.....all within 2 hours? Hrmm.
