Good. Single use plastic bags are awful. I've been using reusable cloth shopping bags for years. They're machine washable, cheap and can hold quite a bit in them.

How much granola does yours carry?

Good. It's about time. That floating patch of plastic garbage in the Pacific Ocean is pretty damn big.

I always ask for paper and plastic bags when I go to the grocery store. Then burn them when I get home.

I'm not a huge fan of granola, but my bags would carry quite a few boxes of it if I wanted some.

I've asked them before that I don't need the sandwich placed in a bag if all I'm going to do is turn around, walk 10 feet, sit down, and then have to pull the sandwich back out of said bag.

That I am good with, However, I was bringing back a salad, dressing, and utensils across campus opening doors and such so handling that was a little more difficult.

I typically buy $300-400 worth of groceries at a time. I'm not carrying around 57 cloth bags

Never understood why subway, like other fast food joints, don’t give you a tray with no bag if youre eating it there

Whats the difference ebetween 57 plastic bags (that may even need to be doubled up to carry the items) and 57 cloth bags?

Your arguement makes no sense

And there's the crux of the problem - it's all about "convenience."

They should outlaw lids and straws for everyone over 7 years old.

They aren’t going green. They are saving money by not using bags.

They claim they are going green in order to be praised instead of criticized for being cheap.

Some people just can't be inconvenienced in the slightest to do something that benefits the greater good. We've become a nation of "me, me, me" and personal convenience. Sad.

+1

Whenever I eat in, I've been going without the plastic lids and straws. Works just fine if I don't fill the cup to the gills.

I’ve not used a straw more than a dozen times in the last 10 years.
