He works hospice for a large hospital corporation. An RN. An aside, I worked with unions for 20+years.

His average sleep time is 10 hours total from Friday 8:00pm to Monday 8:00am.

When I was working, by law, you could not work beyond 12 hours. Not sure of the precedent or statute.

As odd as it sounds he is dedicated to what he does.

I worry about his "conscious" health. He drives on rural roads and has told me "I slap my face constantly to stay awake".

You can love what you do and do it safely. His license is worth more than hat they pay him. In the competitive work environment for job seekers I would begin by telling his employer he has concerns for the safety of his patients and he would like to review the schedule.

Also- how far away from work does he live?

A lawyer isn’t going to help your son sleep.

So he works 12hr days 5 days a week?

Yes that is a ton, but a lot of us here do that, those are normal hours.

I don't understand? Maybe he should have like flex Friday/half day every other Friday. He will get burned out but it isn't anything too crazy atm.
