There is a “garage sale season” (or seasons). Here in South Louisiana, it dies off during the summer and winter for obvious reasons, the heat or the cold.

During the spring, many people are doing spring cleaning, and during the fall, many people are dragging out holiday decorations, and decide to have sales.

Last weekend, there were probably 50 garage sales within 25 mile radius of me. During the off season, it probably goes down under 10 sales.

Even my sales on eBay reflect the swing, due to inventory.
