And by the way, I’m not saying don’t go get poon. That’s another good way to celebrate and cement your breakup. I’m just saying don’t get in another relationship for another 3-4 months. You need time to process this great development in your life as well. Have fun for a few months without giving a frick. You’ll be ready to start dating again soon, but you’ll need to process how you fricked up enough to be dating her in the first place. Maybe have a therapy session or two to realize what you truly want in life.

She's been calling and I've just been ignoring her. She sent me a text apologizing saying she was so caught up in the news. I haven't answered and will not going forward. On the one hand, this could be just your normal couple fights but on the other hand, this ultimatum seems like some straight up red flag B.S.

That is a major red flag. Normal couples just agree to disagree on politics and get on with their lives. If she tries to control how you vote then she will try to control how you think.

The only way I see differing political opinions working out in a relationship, is if it is a moderate Democrat or moderate Republican. You have principles which prevent you from joining the other side, but at the same time understand and respect the other side. You can work through your differences.

Extreme left or right is toxic.

This is the last chance to turn the U.S. into a far-right socialist state. Can you give that up?

Newsflash but if you’re a democrat you have to support extremist policies or you’re racist and on the wrong side of history

This is a rather ironic statement considering Trump himself has no principles or beliefs. He's a narcissistic, power hungry psychopath who cares about nothing but money and no one but himself. He hates his own fricking family outside of the one daughter he wants to frick.

Oh boy, you're one of those.

Just for kicks ... tell me why a billionaire in his 70s would choose to apply for the hardest job on the planet if all he cared about was himself.

Good move, this would’ve been the first of many ultimatums, especially if y’all got married. I shutter to think what it would be like to be married with kids and have a similar situation come up.

Power.

Is it so hard to believe that a narcissistic person wouldn’t be attracted to a job where he can lead the most powerful country in the world?

You mean like Obama?

Like Clinton?

See, that sword cuts both ways.

Pretending that Trump is unique in his narcissism is the height of stupidity.

Not to give Trump a complete pass on the "narcissism" accusation, but both of those people were relatively poor when they first ran for President, and are extremely wealthy now.
