So he liked her, but didn't like what she did in the past? I mean, maybe her past has made her the woman he began to like.

If we are talking about what's moral and shows character. She is a much better person than he is. She was an addict, been clean for 10 years. And she stripped for a little while... at some point in her life. As a drug addict, I am sure there were times when she was at a low point and did things she regrets today. Obviously she didn't like living that life.

He is judging her for something in her past. If he stopped dating her, she seems like she will be the one that comes out ahead in the end.

God does
but I don't
God will
but I won't
And that's the difference
Between God and me.

Sounds like some sort of crack about your wheelchair.

If all women were like your friend I would've never been able to get married

that's rather specific.

The BR and LSU rugby teams hosted a Mardi Gras Tournament in 80s-early 2000s. It used to be a big draw at Independence Park with clubs from around the country.
One men's club team had a player get hit in the face with a high heel at the Gold Club. He needed some serious stitches and the jokes were about how he was going to tell his wife it happened in a match.

some people have hard and fast rules about their lives that don't have anything to do with forgiveness, deal breakers if you will. Having dealt with addicts in my life and seen the aftermath of their decisions ruin the lives of those I love, addiction is a deal breaker for me. no matter the length of recovery, the fact that it is a personality trait for them is not something I am willing to entertain in a partner. It doesn't have much to do with the person, its just my rule and I'm not willing to break it, why should your friend be expected to date someone with a trait he's not attracted to? should you be expected to date a fat girl in the name of tolerance?

OP I don’t think ever mentioned if this gentleman has children. Maybe he does and he doesn’t think that they would approve. If I died I wouldn’t want my husband to be involved with someone with that background —- he’d be nice to said individual I know and my kids would definitely think it was disrespectful to me.

I think it’s ok to not want to see someone and be involved due to their background. Doesn’t mean you wish them harm or that you don’t like them in general. Perhaps he’s sticking with his morals and values???

And you’re judging him for judging her??

The best he can do is a 56 year old ex-stripper and drug addict? Naw, dawg. That's a no for me.

Jesus was all about forgiving ex-drug addict strippers. But nowhere in the Bible did he marry one.
