It is how you raise them. But, you need to keep in mind that pits are usually much bigger, stronger, and look scarier than other dogs.

I wouldn't get one. I don't think all pit bulls are trying to rip every living thing to shreds. But, I do know that dogs are irrational beasts. So, I wouldn't want one that is capable of ripping every living thing to shreds.

All you have to do is point her to the numerous put bull attack stories where the owner is quoted as saying how they’d always been gentle family pets right up until the moment they decided to rip a toddler to shreds. If she has even a lick of sense that will convince her getting a pit bull is stupid.
