re: My coffee versus your coffee

I buy whole bean coffee from local roasters and have a burr grinder but usually do drip coffee for the sake of convenience. I'll do a pour over now and again but it only makes enough for one cup for myself and my wife and we're usually busy in the morning with getting ready for work and a toddler.
No need to be a pompous arse about people's coffee preference

Your husband is a lucky guy

He said he buys whole bean coffee. I would presume that he does grind his own

Perhaps you should try grinding the beans for YOUR coffee
I have an environmentally friendly, sustainable coffee grinder I can take with me anywhere.

Whats your typical PH level to solute ratio?

You may presume all you like. He went through painstaking detail but failed to mention it. I hope it's not an electric grinder.
Sniff

I see. So you’re trying to one up the OP on the edgy scale.
Whatever floats your boat.

Everyone laugh at the coffee elitist douchebag

Basic baw: Buys canned ground coffee from big box store or pods for keurig after they were sitting on the shelf for 3 months. “Sometimes I spring for Folgers Premium Roast! Derrr”
Me: Buys whole bean coffee from local micro roaster that was just roasted in the last few days.
Basic baw: Brews with plastic drip coffee maker from china. “It makes coffee doesn’t it?”
Me: Brews with pour over method using glass chemex, or makes a latte with freshly foamed milk.
Basic baw: Buys second cup of coffee from gas station. “It’s only 98 cents!”
Me: Never buys coffee from gas station or chain.
Me busy basic ground Community Coffee but uses a pour over Bodum because it was cheaper and simple.
also gas station coffee is incredible. Ive never had a cup of Starbucks better than any gas station.
ALso youre putting milk foam in your coffee. Drink it black like a man you puss/.

You have successfully raised the question, who is the worse "let me tell you why mines better" type: Home brew coffee guys, or strictly IPA guys?

I couldn’t tell you the exact grams or temp off the top of my head. I have a system worked out with my equipment. I know which line I fill to in my grinder and my kettle tells me when it reaches optimal brewing temp.
I assumed you knew coffee by your original post. You don’t know much about it it seems. Be honest, you drank a nice cup of coffee at a hotel and now you feel important. It’s ok, I’ve been there. Hotel coffee is good

The plastic 4 cup Mr coffee makes a fine cup of coffee... Once you figure out the ratio.
7 heaping tsp of coffee for 20 ounces of water.

This is why I love you baws. Consuming something that tastes better but may be slightly more expensive and/or that may take slightly more time is somehow perceived as trying to be "edgy".
I bet you hate fancy book learning too.

Your Farmville bits were much funnier.
