I’ve gotta put ice in its water dish or it just stares at me like I’m some sort of animal abuser for giving it room temperature tap water.

Any other spoiled pet owners on the OT?

My wife’s cat used to only drink water from the faucet. I was constantly turning off trickling water and bitching.

I reckon this is indeed a Florida cat.

My cat wasn’t much of an outdoor cat so when she died I had her cremated and put in an urn on my mantle.

Every now and then I’ll spread her ashes over the carpet. Then I vacuum her up.

Do you recycle the ashes?

My wife got a cat from the SPCA years ago and I have a big vegetable garden in my back yard. I grow soybeans for edamame every spring and just harvested 4 gallons of soybeans that I parboiled this Saturday to put away in the freezer for later use.

The cat loves soybeans and eats the shelled beans like candy. She also loves boiled corn and bugs the hell out of us when we eat it until my wife gives her some.

You're gay. I get it, major conundrum, but it's just an animal.

I microwave my dog's food for 20 seconds before I stir it and set it down.

To be fair, it is because I buy the large cans of wet food to mix into her dry in order to save money (instead of buying individual little pouches) so it is fridge cold and won't mix into the wet food without being microwaved.

Your dog must go crazy every time you pop that microwave door open.

Mine won’t eat her food unless it’s fresh out of the bag. If it’s been there over an out she won’t touch it.

Next thing you know, it’ll start demanding rinsed ice.
