Pluckers lost my business when you had to start to pay $2 per wing. I’ll gladly go to an establishment like that and pay $10 for 10 wings but I simply will not hand over a $20 for 10 wings when 10 wings cost $6-$7 at the grocery store. Air fried chicken wings with crystal and butter mixed in buffalo sauce are just as good and a third of the price.

I thought that was just ME!

I use to go there alone sometimes and sit at the bar for some big ole chicken tenders and some fried pickles.

The last two times I went(2-3 years ago) the bartender served me dead arse last despite being there before a few other patrons. I was the only white person and I noticed it but thought there was no way she would be doing that on purpose. But Now it makes sense.

Nicholson Pluckers 2010-2014 was unmatched. Nicholson was always good, went to the Bluebonnet one once and that was enough for me.

yeah, never understood that slogan.

During the second round of "mask mandate" by honor chode. we went to the Bluebonnet location and they made us wear masks to walk 10 feet from the door to a table. The service is just rude and the food isn't worth the effort.

Pluckers back the day when they were first getting started was great. I went a couple years ago and it was a terrible experience. Maybe they grew too fast and lost quality control.

Sad to see it go, but not surprised.

Me and some of my friends went there for dinner on my 21st birthday. It was probably the first year they were open on Nicholson and cheap huge beers + chicken wings was music to a college kid's ears.

I went to the one on Bluebonnet one time during the first year it was open. One time was all I needed. It was disgusting then. Not the food, but the environment. It looked like the waitresses were either ugly strippers, meth addicts, or both. I can only imagine the state of the place now. Probably similar to hookah bars.

I took my family to the one on Nicholson a few times over the last few years. The quality of food had clearly declined and the service was lazy, at best. I suspect like many other places it finally got "Baton Rudged". I'm sure people that like Pluckers in Texas would be stunned by the conditions in the BR locations.

Yep and the specials were insane. Cheap beer and AYCE wings 2 times a week.

What's in the Bakers Gold? After I made the post earlier it got me thinking that I want some wings and I can't find a good copycat recipe

Looks like corporate wanted them to quit being shitty and upgrade and the franchisee said it was too expensive.

quote:

Our focus is to always deliver the best environment for our guests. During renewal discussions, we requested a number of upgrades to the franchised stores. After many conversations with our franchisee over the economy and the increased costs to upgrade, together we determined that the best decision was to close these locations.
