Nope, not that I have heard..I doubt he wants to go home and explain the situation to his parents, although I have heard the kid is pretty shook.

Haha so he definitely implied a threat with the firearm.
Definitely a crime. Not saying it's gonna be pursued or that the cops will take it very seriously, but to the letter of the law that's a crime.
Real smooth move.

Y'all have a distorted reality of the sexual activity of teenagers (particularly young teens) Less than half of teenage females are sexually active. See CDC studies or many other scholarly reports.

This is definitely true. Studies show that millennials are engaging in much lower sex than society assumes they are.
Someone else said in this thread that a 16 year old boy trying to date a 16 year old girl definitely 100% means he's trying to get in her pants and it's laughable to think otherwise.
That's so silly. When I was in HS I had no outright intention/expectation of fricking any of the girls I pursued. It was always a thing I expected might come later with time after I got to know her and we were dating for a while. I knew there were consequences for that type of loose behavior and I wanted nothing to do with any of those consequences.
That being said, most of the people who were friends of mine and were sexually active in high school turned out just fine and most of them are married now with children they didn't have until their 20s.
Many other kids in school did get knocked up and have problems though. But they weren't the type of kids I associated myself with, that's for sure.
By the time your daughter (or son) is 16 they should have been properly parented on this type of behavior. If they're engaging in it despite your parenting you'd better hope you taught them to be mature enough to handle it in the proper safe ways, because there's absolutely no getting that genie back into the bottle, and you just stand to make it way worse by getting angry, giving harsh punishments, and flashing guns at kids.

That’s because millennial boys are all wanting to chop their dicks off.

Your BIL is a fricking moron and your sister should probably divorce his arse before he does something stupid with his gun.
Posted on 1/7/18 at 3:36 pm to Tigahs24Seven
He went out there with a handgun? What a fricking a-hole.

16 year olds aren't millennials. Do y'all just think a millennial is anyone younger than you?

Nah. Even if they charge him he'll get off unless he threatened the kid with the gun. Merely having it doesn't mean shite.

Nobody has absolute authority on what is a millennial and what isn't. Many define early 00s as the ending birth dates for the millennial generation. That would put this 16 year old at the tail end of the millennial generation.

It's usually 80-2000 with some slight variations

The entire reason we know about the firearm is because the father relayed that detail in the story. He did so because the presence of the firearm was supposed to imply a certain something.
If he just had said gun on him incidentally then we wouldn't even be hearing about this story.
I'm not saying the cops would pursue this specific situation though. But it should be clear to anyone reading this story that the point of the gun being in his waistband was to make a clear statement to the boy.

Just exactly when the frick is a 16 year old born?

At best that would be extremely difficult to prove intent
