Mom (My Sister) is pissed at Dad for how he handled it, and is pissed at daughter, who is 4.0 student btw. Dad is pissed at everyone for questioning his decision on how to handle, and cant even look at daughter. Daughter is grounded for quite a while, and other kids are lying low out of line of fire (bad pun).
More info.... He did not yell at, or verbally threaten the kid. In fact, told him he actually liked him, but if he knocked his daughter up he needed to plan on taking her, and supporting her, and my BIL was wiping his hands of her, the kid and the whole situation. For all of you that say might as well let it happen and get her on birth cpntrol are just asking for trouble. Why not just let the boy spend the night and bang the daughter in another room. So she's now on birth control do you now try to limit her to only one cock. What if she wants to sling that monkey around. Might catch something that makes her become infertile or worse. Also becoming sexually active at a young age sets her up to be more likely to become a victim of sexual assault.

Not saying these things wont happen but parenting you're children is hard. You dont just throw a magic little pill at them and say okay good luck. Also for years docors have said they believe birth control is a huge reason for women getting cancer.

Or you know she's responsible, but has sex because she's 16. Guess what, the large majority of kids that age are sexually active. The fact is no matter how you raised them they get to decide when they want to do that kind of stuff so playing willfully ignorant is going to do no good and possibly harm. You can continue to live in your bubble while everyone else lives in reality.
