ETA- but seriously. 22 in 7th and finished with a 32 in high school. Also, I believe everyone with their scores because:
1) For the most part- only people that did well will even open this thread
2) Ditch diggers and plant workers don't sit on computers at 9 AM during the work week

Congrats. Your kid will get a TOPS scholarship around the same time your neighbor's kid will be signing a MLB contract. Should have invested in travel ball.

Tons of B and C students end up being successful as shite. I got a 23 and a 28. Scored like 1080 on the old SAT system. I was like I'm not doing that shite again.

You get a perfect score, you get the keys to basically any college in the country. They want you to go there, do research, and represent the university well post college.
In reality, it doesn't matter where you go (to an extent) IMO. An eager mind will always continue to learn wherever it is.

Bingo. I got a 33 and lost every scholarship in mankind's history and barely graduated because I don't give a shite about most things.
My buddy got a 19 and graduated magna cum laude in EE. He was good at studying.

Sounds like you're trying to make an argument that it's smart to lose scholarships.
It sounds to me like you're buddy is far smarter than you are and scored lower on the ACT.

Got a 17 7th grade. Scored in the top 90th percentile *in reading so I got invited to the TIP program....was like 6000 dollars so fricke that....then got a 23 in high school....fricke math

Went to HS with a guy who was valedictorian, made a 32 or better on the ACT, letter of rec. from a senator...still didn't get accepted into the AF Academy.
We all giggled at his dashed dream of Tom Cruise-level coolness, as we all beat him over the head with Aviator vs. Pilot our whole senior year and he wouldn't listen.

Highest was 35 and he's a good buddy of mine who posts here. Don't think there were any perfects.
