I got a 21 in 7th grade and a good friend of mine working for AMRDEC pulled a 26 at the same time. Our scores increased into the 30s by junior year of high school, and I know a few others that fit into that same trend of a roughly ten point increase between 7th grade and the end of high school, so I'd probably use that as my personal reference.

Anything over a 30 and LSU gives you a free ride, for awhile anything over a 28
Posted on 11/16/17 at 5:37 am to tduecen
Yeah my highest was a 31 and they gave me a full ride to the honors college.

Side note: Honors College (at least at AU) was a waste of time and money once I got into my major and the priority registration didn't help me at all with getting classes that I wanted.

made a 36 and was basically handed the keys to LSU
Assuming they took the offer and assuming they had grades to match (above 4) then that is akin to your rich uncle saying "I will buy you ANY car you pick" and your reply is "Thanks dude, I'll take that sweet grey Camry 4 banger".

I didn’t take the ACT in high shool. I knew I was going into the military so I only took the ASVAB. I made an 88 on that, which converts to about a 26 on the ACT.
Took the ACT 4 years later, with pneumonia, freshly back from Korea and made a 26.
Never bothered taking it again.

Is the 12 year old black? If so the score can Damn near be anything and he can go to Harvard.

I love OT ACT threads, I think SFP did an average once and the average poster had a 28. Much higher than Louisiana average
Posted on 11/16/17 at 5:59 am to tduecen
Maybe it's overinflated, but maybe the sample of OT posters (people on a computer way more than average people are in many cases) are actually better than the average.
Probably both.

I posted proof of mine a few years ago
I took it 12 years ago. It's meaningless in life now. Why would people over 25 lie about it?

I already started working on my masters in aeronautical engineering by the time I was 12. As far as the ACT, I got a 57. My answers were so expert I got extra points.

34! On Tigerdroppings! Haha! Can I get a 36? Anyone with a perfect score, here? I'm sure there are 20 of you, right out of ascension parish no less.
I did make a 34. Not from the AP. I hail from Houston.
Doesn't mean shite though. Turns out I'm a degenerate who lost all scholarships and benefits from that score because I would rather test the limits of my liver and chase the good ole American white tail as opposed to studying.
C's make degrees my man.

Why tf are 7th grade kids taking ACT practice tests? I took it 3 times in HS and my highest score was a 26. After my ball career in CC, I went to SELU.
Ohhhh that’s why you take practice tests.

Then got a 34 in HS. It usually translates although I’m sure there are exceptions.
You're a motherfricking liar.....post a pic of your score with a td note by it

The fricking lies on this board are ridiculous. In one thread we have two guys who scored in the top 1% of the nation. Better than the composite score for Yale. Haha.

I scored a 33 on the ACT and 740 on the GMAT. Do we need to post a screenshot or some shite?
It's a thread asking about the ACT. Naturally those who did well will gravitate towards it.

I only got a 29 after highschool. Aced everything except I bombed math hard. I can’t numbers :(

IMO the people crying about people posting their ACT scores might just be a teeny tiny bit insecure

Expecting a score in the 20s, even low 20s for someone in the seventh grade Duke program is a pretty high bar. Scores at 20 or higher are at the far right end of the curve even for students in the Duke program. A more honest answer would be 17+\-2. Your child can be extremely intelligent, but there is so much on the ACT that they simply have not learned and have not been exposed to.
