I just told me neighbor I'd shoot his pitbull if it got into my yard. He built a new fence and hasn't talked to me since. Win-win
I'll also add, this dog busted through his last fence three times, none of the owners could catch it, and the last time it bee-lined for my daughter. Wife grabbed her and ran inside after I yelled at it and distracted it. Dog is aggressive and has not been yard trained.

i have seen several labs bite people, and seen several small dogs come into clinics for treatment that got absolutely wrecked by labs.
Are you a vet who runs a doggy daycare service? There's literally no other way you've seen 3+ dogs bite a person of one breed and also 3+ small dogs attacked by the same breed.
quote:Oh and there's where you try to change subject real fast
But we are losing point of discussion of OP here.
Hey man how many people have you seen labs bite and how many small dogs have you seen attacked by labs?
I've been around beagles, walkers, blue ticks, labs, terriers (rat and jack) and muts a ton. Hunting dogs.
I've ran across one mean lab and his owner was a piece of shite who used to kick the hell out of him.
Outside of him a lab is the most gentle breed I've been around outside of golden retrievers,
So spit out some numbers. You made an assertion. Time to back it up,

I recall my friend's chihuahua's biting the shite out of me when I was 11, it was kind of cute.

I’m willing to bet lots of folks have dogs that are part Pit and don’t even know it. Over half of your average shelter mutts probably have some Pit.

Today's pitbull news:
My rescue dog - mixed breed pitbull - bit my face after I took care of her for over a year (July 16th, Kansas)
Attack on Owner
I've been debating whether or not to post this over the last couple days. I wanna start by saying I love dogs more than any other pet or animal (except maybe elephants). I still do. But I think I should talk about it...
I've never had a pit (mix) before and I'm definitely not a sympathizer. I know the stats. But I thought, gee, I'm really good with animals and within the first week this dog would follow me everywhere and cry when I left for more than 5 minutes. I have no doubt that she loved and trusted me. I shouted at her a few times for chasing my cats, but I never hurt her.
When she bit me, it was so shocking. I was more overcome by shock than pain. I asked her if she wanted to go outside. I said it in a normal voice, I didn't make any sudden movements, and she was wide awake in the middle of the day. She could see me, she could smell me, and this was something we had done a thousand times before.
She gave me half a second of warning, a very low growl - just enough time for me to pull back, but it was too late. She grabbed me by the face and tried to thrash me around. I had to mop the blood off the floor.
I still love dogs. I might be more weary of rescues that have been abused, but this was... I don't know what to think. Pits can seem to go 10 years being lovey dovey, but one day they just snap, and it could be for no reason at all.
We are trying to find her a new home. Right now she's at a foster home. I honestly thought about dropping her off out of town somewhere and I feel horrible about it but it beats the needle...
I'm still in shock. I know I didn't do anything wrong. I can't explain it. I've had a lot of dog breeds and I've fostered, babysat, volunteered at shelters. I've never seen such an instant change in behaviour.
For anyone curious, getting a dog bite to the face is like being sucker punched and electrocuted at the same time. She pierced my sinuses which made me spit up blood the first few hours, until it coagulated. It was horrifying and messy.

Its about the dogs. I have a pitbull and have been around many, zero of which have attacked humans. I see pieces of shite on here advocating for poisoning them with Radiator fluid, shattered glass. These people saying these things are the people you should be fricking concerned about. These people saying these things are absolute trash and should not be living in society.
As usual....can't/won't answer the question.

No one said go out and get a pit bull you fricking retard.
We are all just saying don’t be the worst piece of human scum on the face of the planet and go out and kill someone else’s dog.
Other people said just don’t let your kid go over there. Acceptable answer.
Poisoning someone else’s dog with antifreeze is human garbage level bullshite.

Like the first responder and almost all of your Reddit readers said, you need to put this dog down. She has already shown she will viciously attack an owner who is caring for her and giving her a good life. Why would you even consider putting this dangerous animal in another home?
Do the right thing.

If you have a Pit Bull, I assume you’re a drug dealer or a retard, quite possibly both.

I see why you failed 5th reading comprehension.
The whole point is why get the most visiciuos, unpredicatable "pet" on the planet in the first place?
Answer that question and I'll post dozens of links of humans those monsters have turned on-- "loving" owners, family members, strangers, 30 day old babies and 85 year old great grandmothers...
F them and thier small dick selves...
If one of my neigbors gets one, all hell is gonna break loose....

Sorry your feelings are hurt bitch. On my property being aggressive is a death sentence for any man or beast.

I'm calling complete bullshite here. Are you a vet
I’m a vet with 2 decades of experience.
Attempted bites on me? Too numerous. Actual bites, 4-5 techs in my time. My wife , also vet, once.
Small dogs, I don’t count. In the double digits. But I worked emergency so it’s higher than most.
You can believe what you want. I actually work with animals as a living.
Why are you so angry bought this? Is it inconceivable to you any breed can bite or get aggressive? Why stick your fingers in your ears and pretend? I’m not calling labs dangerous by any stretch, just advocating using common sense caution around any animal you don’t know. You realize you sound like the pit owners. “My babies never hurt anyone so surely all lab in the world are 100% always safe!”. But hey this is the OT. Where would we be without healthy dose undeserved sense of expertise and hypocrisy.

I picked up a stray puppy from work about 12 years ago. During my break, I’d go outside for a bit and this puppy was always roaming around looking for some companionship. After about a week, I took him home. I took him to the vet. Vet said he was a few months old. I asked him about the breed, and he said he had “a lot of Pit in him”. Granted, he’s not the short and stocky bully type. I suspect he’s mixed with lab. His face isn’t QUITE the prototypical Pit face.
The vet said to just raise him right. Associate him with other dogs the way you would any other. I crate trained him, have a fenced in yard, etc. I’ve had zero issues with him. He’s my shadow. I have another mutt I picked up off the street. She’s part border collie and is now about 8 years old. They are best friends…always snuggling together, playing tug of war with whatever chew toys they have. My Pit did make me move my liquor cabinet shelf after he got into the good stuff. He can be a destructive little shite at times when he’s bored, but that’s pretty much it. He’s been an excellent dog for me during the good and the bad. He thinks he’s a lap dog and will want to be your best friend. If I didn’t tell you he was a Pit, you might never know and assume he was a lab.
It can be done. I’m not ever going out to look for a pure Pit. But this experience has made me less afraid of getting a mutt at the shelter.

Not a single one of the 100 other great breeds will satisfy your blood lust?
I'm waiting with baited breath.
They won't answer because there is no rational reason to purposely choose the most dangerous breed by far.

It just takes one bite to massively frick you up or kill you. Kinda like diving with sharks. It’s proven that we are not food sources for them, but IF they do decide to bite you’re SOL. Zero reason to put yourself in that situation

My brother had one that was really calm. He loved that dog. Then one day it attacked a kid down the street for no reason. The kid only got scratched and was able to crawl under a car in her driveway.
He got rid of it and never said another word about that stupid dog.
