He was already a prime candidate when he raped an 8-year-old, but as we can see with our great justice system, he was free to kill a good, innocent 75-year-old woman just 13 years later.
Some rapists get life and some get a few years. It makes zero sense.

I thought that was a death penalty crime in Louisiana? Not that we ever actually enforce it here.
ETA - looks like that was struck down by the Supreme Court in 2008.

FWIW I think this woman who died was awesome and I am sick how it turned out.
Meanwhile, these 3 make sure social media sees their "pain" and nope...not a word about the killer. Gee...

If you stop incarcerating people for petty crimes like pot and other recreational drug use, you have more space, time, and effort for people with rap sheets like this. You also likely prevent the system creating people like this
