Sorry to hear that.

Good news is there are plenty of places to drink.

I'll second what everyone else said. Make your commute as short as possible.

You'll learn that I-4 was designed by the devil himself and is constantly filled with traffic.

I went from Volusia county (Dirken Rd) to Michigan street on a Friday afternoon recently and it took me 30 minutes longer than taking 417 to 408.

The mileage is less in I-4.

It's that fricking bad.

Good luck!!

Oops

Missed trying to quote previous posts.

Only there once to do the family Disney thing. I-4 is horrendous. It has minimal feeder roads and on ramps. I GUESS that keeps traffic moving but it makes chaos around the highway. Might have to drive 2 miles to get on the interstate and loop around it. All while being close enough to hit it with a rock.

Also, for any locals. Do you grow to hate tourists? You are immersed in them. I would assume they are unavoidable and screw everything up with ignorance of the area. Also people from all over the country and world.

OP. If you can crack the code to get at some Disney poon it may be plentiful. But they are like cult members.

If you move to the eastern area (Avalon Park - zip code 32828) you can avoid I-4 and take 408 or 417 or 528....and you're only 45 minutes away from the east coast beaches....and brush up on your Spanish....

Don’t guess if they are Cuban or Spanish. Let them tell you. If an older Cuban DONT ask about Castro.

Two decades in Orlando here.

As another poster said, be mindful of your proximity to work because traffic here sucks and there are tolls to go just about anywhere that involves driving a distance.

The city of Orlando is for the most part a really crappy town. I strongly suggest living in a sourrounding community. There are lots of good places to choose from. Renting an apartment can be challenging because they are at 100% capacity most of the time. There are waiting lists to get apartments in good places.

If you provide more specific information, I would be glad to tell you about the good areas that are close to you.

He is not providing crap, baw. He started a thread, then was abducted by aliens and will not be back. It is a shame that he has a world of resources available to him here, yet won't be using them.

He mighta' had some fun sometime...

RIP.

I lived in Orlando for 4 years.

Let me start out by saying that Louisiana is a shithole.

Get ready to move into one of the most overpriced, the most overrated, and the gayest (you might like it OP) cities in this country.

Anything is better than living in LA

I really did not like living in Orlando. You couldn't pay me to live there.
