Just stay on the river side of st Charles and you should be good. Have all packages sent to work, don't walk from the bars on magazine back home late at night. Don't park in Breaux Mart's parking lot unless you are shopping there.

I'm living literally on St. Charles and the apartment is a good size and affordable for my budget. I'm a bachelor so I'm taking the opportunity to live on one of the most historic streets in the world while I can. In a few years I may have a family and forced to live elsewhere so I figured why not.

I've never felt the need to look over my shoulder once while living in Boston. And I'm not a very diligent person.

If you make a decent salary, prepare to have an awesome awesome time. Also, if you have a SO, I'd suggest ditching them. Lots of talent in NOLA.

The street car can be a racket rolling by but you'll get use to it

Fair enough but the French Quarter, CBD or Warehouse District would be better for a young bachelor such as yourself.

Nothing wrong with the location you picked I was just curious as to why you picked it.

Meh, stay uptown and find a nice ASH/Country Day/McGhee gal to court. You'll be uptown royalty for years to come. The anti Nola peasants want to be this.

Fair enough. By all means ignore my post then. My bad.

I'll just read along as people bash New Orleans and the New Orleans folks refute it.

If I marry into some wealth I'll make sure to have a big O-T baller tailgate every week during football and baseball season.

ETA: I mean back in Baton Rouge
