If I were you, I would look for something along the Jefferson corridor between Corporate and Bluebonnet.

Replied to add: Assuming you mean just west. And frankly, I would describe it as south of I10, but still

If you're all the way down by Highland or something, that changes things.

Yeah, just west.

I did drive through the Highlands (checking out the back way to work).

If you can't find anything you like on Jefferson, I would look at the Perkins corridor next. Quite a few new developments have sprouted over the last several years.

Stay away as far as possible from Plank Rd, and stay south of Florida Boulevard.

Was looking at the area on satellite out of curiosity, so who lives in the mansion on the corner of highland and bluebonnet? On satellite it sticks out like a soar thumb.

Appreciate the sentiment. As a current resident of Jackistan, this is getting better.

Yeah I go this way quite regular to get seafood at Tony's and stop at gas stations over there. Even after dark. OT is full of pussies

I find that people who put down LP are the ones that want to live there but cannot the move from Baton Rouge. I'm from LP and I've never had to fear for my life. You see elderly people walking down the street in my neighborhood at 10pm. I feel sorry for you guys in BR. that have to hear gun fire in the middle of the night.

I’ve lived in BR for over a decade and have never so much as feared a beating, much less for my life. I’ve also never heard gunfire. You sound like the idiots who act like eating at a restaurant on Government is a death wish.

Get a place in Oak Hills or thereabouts.

Dont go east of Seigen (village St George, etc.).

You’re welcome.

Bluebonnet is always a clusterfrick due to the contruction and red lights, so live wherever you want the commute will suck no matter what.

If you’re 25-30 then live by the Perkins overpass

Corner of Perkins and Pecue is fine.
