Im moving to Augusta, GA in June for residency for at least 5 years. Anybody have any experience living in that area? My wife (no pics) and I visited there once and it seemed nice. Ive read there isnt a ton to do, but we love the outdoors and are semi homebodies so not too worried about that.

I think there’s a big golf tournament around there every year. That’s probably cool.

Been living about 20 miles north of Augusta since 2000. Try and take your vacation during Masters week. Traffic is insane.

Like most small southern cities, there are things to do outdoors. Kayak the river, hunting and fishing, golf.....lots of golf. I don't believe there's really much of a local music scene. At least not compared to Louisiana.

They have a nice minor league baseball stadium down on the river that's an easy ticket and a nice way to burn a summer weeknight.

I’ve always heard that you want to live in the South Carolina side.

There are a lot of rough areas in the city.

I have several cousins who live there and rent their houses out for two weeks leading up to and during the Masters for a pretty penny.

I've worked with a lot of people from our Augusta plant and this seems to be the consensus.

My parents live in North Augusta. It’s nice but I haven’t spent a lot of time there. Seems like a pretty central location.
