Mowing early in the morning is a rookie move. 7pm during the summer is the perfect time.

I'm a Trump fan, but not a fan of starting political sign wars in neighborhoods. My sister's neighborhood is littered with Doug Jones/Tubberville/Trump (but no Biden yet, interestingly) signs and flags and it's beyond the point of tacky. Keep it classy.

Do you live in China or America? Answer this first, and the second part is easy!

If they happen to be near while you are unloading and appear to want to introduce themselves but are unsure if it is a good time, take the initiative (the still-moving-in excuse let's you cut it as short as you want). From there on, try to get a feel for them before MAGA or BBQ'ing up the place.

The unspoken rule for mowing around our neighborhood is roughly anytime after 8am (as long as the sun is up). Most do their lawns prior to noon but it can vary. Mainly keep the golden rule in mind.

Open all the windows and play some Skynrd. Have 10-12 friends over and drink beer in the front yard. Leave cans on the ground until about noon the next day.

From that point on you will be home free. Anything you do from that day forward will be an improvement.

Just openingly pee in your front yard the first morning and see if anyone complains.

The best time to mow is at high noon when it's the hottest.

It's good for you.

Yes, if you like to socialize. No, if you hate people like me.

At least once a week

I voted for Trump, but I wouldn't fly a flag.

I have lived in several different neighborhoods over the years. It really makes life easier if you get along with neighbors. That being said, some people are impossible.
I wouldn't knock on doors introducing myself, but wait until they were outside.
Hanging flags... hmmmm it is your property, you can do as you please. Would be wise to consider carefully before doing so.
Then again, you might not give a shite what anyone thinks!

Should we introduce ourselves?
Don't go over to their house, only Registered Sex Offenders do that. Either wait until you see them outside, or they will come to yours.

What is an acceptable time to cut the grass?
After 8 am if you're courteous. I wait until after the dew burns off (I don't live in Louisiana) or mow in the evening during the week.

Should I hang my Trump flag?

Your call, I'm personally against political ads on my property.

Do I invite them over to drink while I BBQ?
Eventually, but you'll need to work up to this. Don't expect to be buddies with them right off the bat.

Find the biggest neighbor on the block and kick the shite out of him. No one will mess with you after you establish respect.

agree. I never understood peolpe wanting to mow wet grass. I guess I get it IF you own a lawn service company and need to get work done while it's cooler. But let the grass dry up before you mow.

Everywhere I've ever lived (in a neighborhood), existing neighbors come welcome you. I've always done the same to new neighbors around us.

We usually bring bottles of wine with little cards that have our contact info, and have generally gotten similar when we've moved places.
