Bon Jovi was bigger than any of those 3.

I thought Motley Crue signed a legal document saying they couldnt ever tour again?

What is the world coming to when you can no longer put your faith in the words of guys like these?
Posted on 11/18/19 at 12:03 pm to weadjust
You are referencing Mötley Crüe, this is a press release regarding Motley Crue, and it's band members Vince Neal, Niki Six, Mickk Marzz, and possibly drummer Tommie Lee.
Completely different.
Completely different.

The couple of videos i've seen recently of Motley Crue performing, Vince Neil cannot sing anymore. He just makes a bunch of noises and backup singers basically sing the songs.
Rockin Rio 2015
This is 4 years ago, I'm guessing he's even worse now.
That was painful to watch

The have been on a farewell tour about as long as Kiss or The Who

Saw him last year. Was not impressed by his show. I really tried and enjoy most of his music. It felt like he only played 2 or 3 of his old hits and it was at the end after I was about to fall asleep in my beer

How long have The Rolling Stones being doing farewell tours? I think they did their third one in the early 80s.

Aging musicians that play their “new material” should be shot on sight.

None of us know the full ins and outs of that contract, or if one even exists. "Tour" may have a very specific definition. Also, they may not be touring as Mötley Crüe, they may be touring as Motley Crue (umlauts removed).
Probably left themselves a handful of safety valves within the language of the documents. Nikki Sixx is actually a pretty savvy motherfricker and I'd never put it past any of those guys to find any and all ways to make a quick buck. I mean come on, do you know any heroin addicts who have the wherewithal to keep a daily diary?

Saw Rush on their farewell tour. Most of the first set was brand new material no one gave a shite about.
Posted on 11/18/19 at 12:16 pm to 14&Counting
Considering Rush has like 40 albums worth of material and have been continually recording new ones, that is slightly different.
Most bands doing these kinds of tours last released an album in the 90s.

Last time I saw Motley was 2005 at the Desoto Civic Center the night after Vince blew out his Achilles or some shite. I thought for sure they would cancel the show, but he came out in a f'n wheelchair. He actually got up and hobbled around most of the night. He can't sing for shite and even as a bloated fat arse he had a high energy show.

Yeah, he works harder than all the other dudes when it comes to actually entertaining people. He's on the road damn near constantly playing Crue songs with a bunch of nobody backup musicians. Props to him for that.

Same here. Saw them at Oak Mountian with Alice Cooper opening. Was a Damn good show. Alice Cooper about stole the show.

Apparently Motley was offered $120 mil to do the tour and they couldn’t turn it down. It’s supposed to take place next summer - I just hope Mick makes it that long

It's too bad he didn't put that much effort into trying to be in 1/2 decent shape and oh I dunno maybe hitting more than every 4th syllable.
