325. I weighed 165. Summer school at LSU, living in the fraternity house with only a handful of us around. I would work out by myself on a bench rated for about half what I was putting on the bar. Very fortunate it didn't collapse and kill me. I just did singles and went up 5 lbs each time until I hit failure then go back down 5 lbs at a time. If I had actually known what I was doing I could have gotten a lot stronger but I could feel my shoulder slipping so it was probably close to what my joints could take.

Arching your back with you shoulders and feet planted with your butt touching the bench is proper powerlifting form.

I could do low 3s in college at 265lbs. But I did a lot of pushups almost daily. Don't know about these days. I've had a fair amount of muscle injuries.

My non dominant side is probably still right there. Right side has seen too much action :lol.

I workout by myself and I’ll be 40 in 2 months so I don’t lift too heavy. I did do 225 12 times the other day.

205 8 times. Never have tried to max tbh. Never have seen the point. Pretty sure my wrists would break if I tried to go over 250. I’ve always had a bit of a slighter frame. I can pack on muscle but I can never really add any thickness to my wrists.

415 @ 165 in an APA competition, two command. Benched more in the off season at a heavier weight but that was just gym lifts so not official.

ETA: I spent a lot of time on my technique so yes my back was arched.

Get the wraps in the link below if you really want to start pushing yourself. Iron Rebel makes great power gear.

Stamina vs strength is so weird to me.

I can grind out 315 but can only hit 10 reps with 225 with the last rep being a fight (I also do slow negatives so maybe that’s why)

But in high school I could only bench 285 but could hit 225 for 16 reps

505x3

Never 1 rep maxed at that point, was scared I’d tear something & 500 was my goal. Was around 215 at the time.

Wouldn’t even try to unrack that much now.
