There are some great places in the FQ.
My answer is Spahr's in Des Allemands.

Like Zappa said, Joe T Garcia's in FtW. There is so much hype to this place and then the food comes - disappointment. And it's a cash only place; guess that adds to its 'allure'.
In 'n Out. When it opened its first Texas location in Frisco, the Dallas Morning News site covered and had a woman from California on the front page crying over her burger. Dumb bitch.... it's a fricking burger. Should stayed out west.

I like how their advertisements say "and still no fries!" It's pretty solid troll work

I remember going there for the first time with someone from Lafayette...the way they talked about it and built it up, you'd think I was about to have a life-changing lunch.
It was an ok burger. I didn't hate it, but where all the hype comes from I'll never know.

Pappa-sitas - any taco stand or food truck will have more authentic and better tasting Mexican food

To be overrated a place has to have some hype. I haven't heard any one say anything about that place in decades.

Hattie B’s has good sides but their chicken sucks. It’s only popular because of its location. I can get much better hot chicken in half the time.
Great one.

Florida - 4 Rivers Smokehouse
Been to locations in Tampa and Orlando. For some unknown reason every vendor or customer I go to lunch with HAS to choose this place. Brisket Rub is way too salty, pulled pork always dry and stringy and while beautiful and varied everything on the bakery shelves is just sweet. No flavor just sweet.
