McGuire's in Pensacola
What about the one in Destin?
I enjoy taking the family there when we're at the beach but after trying the steaks and a few other dishes including the bouillabaisse, just stick to the burgers and go when the lines are minimal. It's not worth a 45+ minute wait.

In & Out... Fries are shite

LaFonda in Lafayette The Mexican food is very average But it's a social hotspot and everybody loves their margaritas
True, but they have: great location, amazing margaritas, great queso. That's about all a Mexican place needs.

Lately, I'd say Husk (Nashville)

Louie's Cafe. Place is nasty and roach infested.

Good call.
It was ok, but totally not the greatest fast food burgers evar!!
I'll take 5 guys over in & out anytime.

Just kidding Lafonda's is meh. I think it was cool in Lafayette in the 80's and older people just keep going there for the nostalgia.

Wrong. I travel the nation for work. You don't appreciate the great food at great prices that you can't get anytime. Either that or you don't know how to order.
No, he's right. Walk-Ons fills the Calendars niche. Mediocre food, but a decent atmosphere for alcoholics. I will also say that the absolute worst bloody Mary I have ever been served came from Sammy's. That's an unforgivable sin for me.

In New Orleans....
Mother’s
Camellia Grill
Jaque-Imo’s
Everything in the French Quarter
As a helpful rule, if the clientele is more than 50% tourist all the time, it’s shite, it’s overpriced, and you don’t want to eat there.

Varsity in Georgia...
People go into the Varsity expecting something other than a salty greasy soggy burger? Varsity ain't famous for it's quality food.

Never been, but there's no way Amy place could live up to the hype this place gets. Four to five hour wait? Screw that, no food is worth that.
I bet it's still really good though.

Salt Grass in the Bossier boardwalk, average steak and terrible service.

The Shed BBQ in Mississippi
All hype
All hype

Pappa-anything in Houston.
Pappa's BBQ - some of the worst BBQ in the state
Pappa-sitas - any taco stand or food truck will have more authentic and better tasting Mexican food
Pappa-deaux's - their idea of Cajun food is to deep fry everything and serve it over dirty rice

I’m sure I’ll get some pushback from this, but in the Hammond area, it’s got to be Tommy’s pizza.
Not necessarily for the pizza because it’s pretty good, but for the management. If you have a party of 2 or more, they won’t seat you until your entire party is there. Pizza takes an eternity to come out because they have 1 oven.
If you order take-out, they tell you an hr and when you get there, the pizza has been sitting under a heating lamp of 55 min.
I’d rather go to Commador’s.

I was passing through Decatur, Al. a few weeks ago and went to Big Bob Gibson's. That place is waaaay overrated. I saw all the Memphis in May trophies he won, but goddamn, that pork they serve is bland and smokeless as hell. It's pitiful in appearance and taste. Obviously they are willing to serve crap to their customers, cause if that's what he's winning those with, people in Memphis have no taste.
Their smoked chicken with white sauce was okay, but nothing I write home about.

I was extremely unimpressed with In & Out. Good pick.
For Massachusetts, I'd say Union Oyster House. It is a huge tourist trap with it being the oldest restaurant in the United States and being on the Freedom Trail, the food is meh, and I would hate to be seated near the "booth that the Kennedy's always sat at" because the amount of people taking pictures of it would drive me insane.

The Chimes - great place to grab a beer or two, but the food is pretty average (except the BBQ Shrimp poboy)
