Because you mentioned more than one...

When I was 7 in the 60's... I got a BB gun from Sears... I still have that gun and it will still shoot bb's... but the bb's barely clear the barrel and would not pierce a sheet of paper...

Junior in HS... My 1st real brand new Drum Kit.. a 6 piece Slingerland Kit in a black satin finish ... A Custom Cymbals ... Only other Drummers could appreciate how special that was...

Christmas of my 8th grade year, parents prepped me for a rack stereo system, took me to "Sound Trek" in Metairie to look, took me all over.

Thought it was a done deal....Christmas morning..nothing. I understood, but was disappointed and it showed....Parents made me feel like hot garbage.

Went to my brother's house for lunch (yes I'm 11 years younger than my closest sibling) and it was stashed there..damn near blew out the windows in my bedroom with "Liscense to Ill" on the new "state of the art" CD player.

One Christmas that was memorable to me was when my 2 cousins got loads of toys because their parents got divorced that year. I think I was 9 or 10 and one cousin was the same age as me and the other was a little younger. I only got two presents that year at family Christmas; a basketball and a golden nugget ring. The basketball was from my parents and the ring from my grandparents. Didn't get a single thing from my aunts and uncles because they all got gifts for my cousins.

Benjamin pellet rifle.
My dad lectured me about gun safety before he even let me fire the first shot. Lessons carried forward to this day.
