Who cares? Not a single car on that list has been made in the last two decades or longer.

Chevy Cavalier was bad but the Citation was an absolute JOKE! First IROC was a joke TPI was a joke! In saying this I had at least 20 other Chevy's that went over 200,000 miles! Have an 03 e320 I pd. 17,000 for and 576,000 miles later, I need a new motor! Never changed any fluids except when the radiator sprung a leak, 99.00 for a new aftermarket so I changed the coolant ??! 09 Hyundai Genesis v6 is my daily driver and I am at right at 300,000! Been very lucky! Only drove GM until they spun me off! Approx. 36 years of GM might find an old Chevy truck! Pre computers! Oh 73 ford pinto sucked royal dicka

So add some newer models. I didn’t include newer cars like Hyundai and Kia (Rio), because that’s just understood.

I’d love to see the data on how many Altimas were ever actually paid off by the owner prior to sale.

Which ones? The Imperial ones prior to 1975 were not throwaway cars, they were Chryslers equivalent to Lincoln Town Cars and Cadillac Devilles

I'm not a car guy but I would guess more higher end cars are "disposable" in terms of not being worth it to repair after 10-15 years?

I'd imagine that AMC Pacer in good shape/restored would be worth a lot now.

It's a pretty cool design.

My highschool buddy had one of these. It was absolutely bulletproof. One time he got it stuck in a sandbar by the amite river and so he left it there overnight. Then it flooded and the truck was submerged in river water up to the door handles. Several days later after the water had receded he finally got it pulled out of the sand and the truck started right up and he drove it away. I think he ended up putting 300k miles on it before it finally died and he drove it like a bat out of hell too

I've had a few old Japanese 4x4s.

My favorite one had a map pocket above the glove compartment. That pocket had drain holes.

The designers fully expected it would eventually see water at that height.

There’s a segment of the population always willing to buy a 10 year old Benz, Maserati or BMW

I'm old enough to remember when the first Hondas sold here were absolute junk.

That said, it is hard to beet the Vega and Volares for complete trash. They started rusting on the dealers' lots.
