Most depressing small town?

My vote is my hometown, Opelousas, LA.
Bruh you need to drive through Ferriday, Bogalusa and Donaldsonville. I can promise you that Opelousas is far, far from depressing. Maybe if you compare it to Charlotte NC but not small town Louisiana.

Same for the drive between Albuquerque and...hell, I will say all the way up to Moab, UT.

Towns with 30+ thousand is a tossup between Greenville, ms and pine bluff, ar. Little towns that are bad I’d go Eudora, AR, Ferriday, or take your pick in the Mississippi delta.

Anything Tri-parish area.

Basile, Eunice, Mamou, Crowley, Opelousas, Elton, Ville Platte.

I'm from that wasteland and it's all gone to shite.

Opelousas is a thriving metropolis compared to a lot of other smaller towns that haven’t seen a new building built in decades.

They got a chic fi la last month.

It's already the worst one in the state.

It was either Greenwood or Greenville or something like that, in Mississippi.

Greenwood is 10x better than Greenville and even with that there's several Delta towns worse than Greenville.

Take any exit between Memphis and Little Rock

Travel that route monthly and it’s pretty bleak. BTW, anyone who complains about interstate issue on I-20 or I-10 need to spend some time on I-40 between Memphis and Little Rock. It’s rough.

Any reservation town. Crow Agency, for example.

As I was reading through the list this was the place that came to mind.

All the drama with the police chief, his wife, and girlfriend; I would think people have some excitement to talk about.

The casino graveyard around Tunica is pretty damn depressing. Heck even the casinos that are still open are sad sights, and the towns around them are all corpses for the most part.

West Louisiana is headed in that direction as well if Texas ever allows Gambling too.

Monroe isn’t a “small town” but it’s also depressing driving through a random “downtown” looking area that’s basically
Just buildings with no industry at this point too.

While Greenwood ain’t nuthin’ to write home about, Greenville makes it look like a flat Park City.

Any answer that doesn’t include the word “Bogalusa” to the OP’s question is incorrect.

Ruston - You can't take a shite without someone talking about it and gossiping.

That makes it depressing?!? Ruston is a really nice small college town. GTFO with your trivial BS.
