What's sad is that race is even a consideration when being admitted to college. But your party created this mess.

Isn’t it? I personally would never want to question if I were a diversity hire. Talk about a horrible mindset to be put into. Questioning whether or not you deserve to be somewhere because of your merit or simply because of your skin color.

Oh…. Wait. That wasn’t what you think is sad, is it? You’re all about racial quotas.

Correct. It's sad that this country has resorted to accepting people based on the color of their skin instead of the content of their character.

If you had your way, all white people would be in chains.

Its the sad attempt by communists to create equal outcomes by negating all free choices up to that point.

There will NEVER be equal outcomes unless you make everyone exactly the same genetically and you eliminate ALL free choice. The fact that we actually create policy like this is insane. Its a complete fairytale to expect equal outcomes along racial and gender lines 100% of the time in every material condition of life.

In the Southeast...what percentage of people do you think have a significant portion of Native American blood in them?

Personally, I'm 1/16 Muscogee Creek, but I guess I've been "Passing" as white for the last 1/2 century.

I applaud them for finding a loophole in an unfair system. We should just all claim Native American ancestry. The whole country can be victims

Both parties created this mess. Stop fighting each other, fight the parties.
Its more proof that the entire system is designed to keep us fighting each other, so we don't see how bad they are screwing us. Everything government is designed to drive a wedge between people so we don't fight them.

My aunt, who has been in education for 30+ years, told me 24 years ago when I took the ACT to check "other" for the race because allegedly it was scored differently. We have since learned that it is apparently true and was a sort of "secret" way back then.

A lot more than most people probably know.

For families that have been around a while, it's likely that one or more of your ancestors had a fling with a Native American.

10%? 25%?

I only list "other" on job apps now. Putting myself as white male is an instant disadvantage.

I don't know why people on the left don't just admit this, it's a fact.

Correct.

It means "equality of outcomes" in Social Justice, though the commies swear that isn't the intent.

The true definition of white privilege is being able to identify on paper any race, yet driving while white.
It’s a win/win.

I did this once on an application for a job at UAB. I had filled out several job apps as caucasian with zero call backs. Decided to choose “Other” or “Prefer not to say” (can’t recall) on my next app and got a call back and interview. The job went to someone else who stayed at the position for about 6 months because the job was listed again

My college had a really great scholarship that you had to be an idiot not to get for the most part. If you kept above a 3.0 gpa you were a shoe in.

I applied for it with a 3.8 and got denied. I went in to the office to ask why and they said your a white male and your parents are wealthy. I said, my parents aren’t paying for my school and I live by myself.

A few years later I got married and was officially poor. I should have just emancipated myself at 18.

Applied and didn’t answer the race and I got a full ride for my last semester. GPA had dropped to about a 3.6 at that point.

It’s fine. I absolutely get that my parents were together and pushed me hard and it through college without debt. A lot of other kids didn’t have those advantages of a good home life. Mine wasn’t easy as my father was a bit of an a-hole, but he also was a hardworking man who demanded excellence from me.

Even though I’m not overly in favor of affirmative action, but I do donate to the UNCF because I think college is a great chance out of poverty.

But by rewarding people for being other races, you’re inviting this type of behavior. It’s proving the point of its critics.

Someone in HR at UAB (off the record) straight up told me I wouldn’t get the job because I wasn’t the diversity they were looking for, even though I was more than qualified.
