I can't believe we don't have a thread yet for the possibility of winter weather Monday and Tuesday.

We've had a couple, actually. They haven't gotten a whole lot of traction for some reason.

Because there isn't much to mention.

But, the temperatures next week are very serious.

Speak for yourself.

We’re apparently going to get some nasty wind and rain here tomorrow then Sunday-Tuesday snow potentially (Kentucky). Hoping the wind tomorrow doesn’t cause too many outages before the cold.

There won't be much snow to speak of for Louisiana but the little bit of freezing rain and ice for cenla and north La on Monday would stick around for a couple of days with the cold temperatures in place.

I think the general thinking from the board experts was that we'd take these things one event at a time, after the morning is over I suspect there'll be a freeze thread sometime

It's going to be very cold for a couple of days. That's about as winter as it gets in the deep south.

I remember the 9° and strong wind in TMcGC before Christmas 2022. It was like my forehead was being split open. That's the day I learned there's a big difference in 32° and 9° when you're in Louisiana.

We bottomed out at 2° during that one. This one at least won't last as long.

You still confident on that lack of ice down as far as I10 on monday night?

All of the weather apps i look at have moved the precipitation to much later in the day monday.

Unlike most who are hoping for snow, I'm just hoping for enough ice to cover about a mile of shaded roadway
