More difficult to quit: Drinking or Late Night Snacking

It's easy to say drinking is more difficult to stop for a long period of time for those that like to drink but god dang, the late night snacking has got to be right there with it. Trying to do both, not sure i can last 1 day.

If you quit drinking the late night snacking takes care of itself.
Unless you get on a sugar kick like a lot of people that quit drinking.

I haven't had a drink in 3.50 years but I do love me some blue bell about 9pm.

I quit drinking but, man, that late night sugar craving is a bitch now. I didn't used to have a sweet tooth but after I stopped drinking I've developed a strong one.

I find I need to do one or the other. I generally have a pour or 2 of bourbon every night around 8-9.... sometimes I've drank alot on the weekend and feel I should give myself a break....find my mouth starts watering for SOMETHING around that time. I'm either gonna snack or pour lol

brush your teeth right after dinner to help prevent late night snacking

Same. I snack very healthy though. Low fat yogurt with a minimal amount of goodies added is my go to. I never had that sweet tooth until I quit drinking too, but I am super smart about it. It's doable.

Eat one piece of toast extra crispy without anything to drink and nothing on the piece of toast. Only 75 calories and after a coue of nights doing that you'll say screw that... reward yourself with water and cravings will go away

Drinking 100%. Luckily, I don't care to quit.

Best remedy is to get single serving sweet treats, something small that will satisfy the craving. What you don’t want to do is get a big bucket of ice cream or a big bag of candy because it’s too easy to lose track and overeat.
I recommend the Lil’ Drums from Drumstick or any of the Blue Bell bars.

We always have Grapes, strawberries, blue berries, blackberries bananas, apples, and oranges ready to go. Also always have block cheese that i can cut a cube off of and generally have a bag of pepperonis. I try to limit my snacking to any of those in the evening. Fruit hits the sugar want. Cheese and peps for a little more savory snack.
Never had an issue with the drinking part.
