People are not very smart.
He did not stop a single person, therefore, let them run on the field. However, he decides to elbow a small girl to the grass, and that might get him fired.
But the idiots, who won't have anything happen to them, are the ones who told him to do that. They should not have told this guy to stop people if it gets physical, because they should be liable, not this guy making a living.

I think all bets should be off when spectators enter the field of play, when it comes to player vs spectator interactions.
You're putting the athletes in a very bad situation, after a hard fought game.
But when some drunken big mouth frat boy gets in the face of the opposing team, who gets in trouble when they FAFO?

I would tell my college aged kid (have two) that, if you're storming the field, to keep you head on a swivel. If there is one fat arse security guard standing in the middle of the end zone, make sure you're outside of his radius when youre going past him because he won't chase you. Just gotta stay outside of his grasp. And I would show them proper drunken running techniques - which is basically do what you have to in order to stay upright and not fall over mid-stride.
Those bruises you'll wake up will be well earned and you'll laugh it off in the morning when you're telling you friends the story. Have fun, kids.

When we beat OM in 2015 when they were #3, I got singled out of a crowd and was prevented from going on the field.
So I just walked further down and went on where there was no security.

Yeah, the security guard really made a big difference by doing that and no one has ever gone into a football field after a game before.
