I'm not a drinker any more but I did my fair share in college. I've seen people get belligerent when their friends tried to help them so everybody just says frick it, let him do what he wants to do. People wander off from their group and nobody notices because they're all shitfaced too. Unless you have a designated sober person corraling everybody, a million things can happen. And even then, they have to listen to him, which a drunk is almost guaranteed not to do.
In practically any major city you don't have to go far to end up in a place where it's dangerous to be even if you're sober, much less not in control of your senses.

hat I read was all of them had open tabs, and they weren’t letting them leave until those were closed. (Which could be complete bs). Just what I have seen.
If that's true, poor kid's parents are going to own that bar.

If you cant make it out of Nashville ok please stay away from NOLA, Vegas, Houston, LA, etc.
Way too many people go to Nashville and let their guard down.
You need to treat Nashville the same way you would Miami, Vegas, or NOLA. You might be drinking at a country bar instead of shithoused on bourbon street but the alcohol doesn’t know the difference. Getting blackout and wandering around anywhere is a recipe for disaster.

If his rab was open and then he closed it, maybe they didn’t realize he was wasted? I haven’t seen anything or read anything until this post so I of course have zero clue.

This reddit thread links 4 urls of stories about gangs/groups preying on Nashville tourists by drugging and robbing them (but not killing, so doubt it's the case with Riley). That was new to me, but it seems it's been a recent problem.

No where is 100% safe and Nashville is definitely not a shite hole. They do a really good job of keeping the crime isolated to areas.

Obviously anything is possible but the most plausible scenarios don’t end with him alive. 1. Drunkenly fell in the river 2. Someone murdered him for whatever reason 3. He found/had drugs and ODed and those with him hid the body There’s always the improbable “10 day bender in a whore house” option
Completely on brand for the Smiley Face Killer. Fits the pattern perfectly. He’ll show up in the river eventually.

Luke Bryan's place is pretty chill compared to many of the other spots in Nashville. Been there several times mostly hanging out on the rooftop.

This is just natural selection. He lost.

The videos of him makes it look like he was on something worse than just booze. I bet someone slipped him something at the bar which is pretty common in Nashville

Kicked out of a bar before 10pm for being too drunk. I was gonna call him a lightweight then I read he was between 6'-5" and 6'-7" and 160lbs. That's featherweight.
This will not end well.
Do you not remember pre-gaming in college? How much he drank at the bar by 10 may not have been the issue. Especially if something besides alcohol was involved.

Yeah it was a frat trip to Nashville they could have easily been drinking since 10am or earlier
I still think someone slipped him something and he ended up in the river

I did so many dumb drunken things at his age and luckily got away with all of them. Watching the videos, this easily could have been me at his age.

Prayers for this young man and his family. Not looking good though . I’m thinking he ended up in the river or some one snatched him .

This is why I’ve always said that frats aren’t real friends. You shouldn’t rely on them to look out for you when you need them the most. Only your real family can do that.

n the past 30 years there has been dozens of young adults getting drunk in a downtown area and end up drowning in a nearby body of water. You can even see the river in a couple of those surveillance videos.
I don’t feel like the phenomenon goes back that far, but this trend that has such eerily similar characteristics is almost impossible to ignore. I first heard about it 12-15 years ago when two people that I had mutual friends with disappeared in two northeast cities. Both fit the same sort of circumstances as all the other cases. Both were found in a river. The clusters of where this happens is very interesting as well. It’s got to be close to 500 cases by now. Either this is the work of serial killers or a strange amount young men get drunk in cities and fall into rivers.
