Mitsubishi Might Be Dialing Back Its US Efforts

The company might in fact be dialing back its U.S. efforts, according to CEO Takao Kato, who on a call to shareholders said the Japanese automaker’s strategy is shifting away from large markets where the brand is no longer as strong as it once was.

What is your favorite Mitsubishi?

My first new car-

I haven’t seen a Mitsubishi that I’d own since the heyday of the Diamante.

This. Saw one the other day on the road and said, "I wonder if they still make new cars."

Had a friend in the early 2000s who had a set up like this with the Galant.

Good ride and great high school/college car.

One car I'd like to see brought back

It's probably the only thing that could make their brand relevant in the U.S. IMO

I thought Mitsubishi had the stupidest ideas until I bought a truck with AFM. Then I thought GM had the stupidest ideas until I learned about Fords start stop bullshite. it's like they're perpetually trying to see who can come up with the stupidest shite people will buy.

Except for the 3000GT was horribly unreliable. A great looking car during its time though.

I test drove a Mitsubishi outlander sport and the car felt like it was 15 years behind similar models. The price point and warranty was attractive, but everything else felt cheap and lackluster from the acceleration to the handling to the entertainment center and the trim.

My first car was a Galant. I want to say a 97? It had less than 90k miles on it when the transmission died.

Anyone who went to high school around 2000-2004 probably remembers the Spider Eclipse that so many girls drove. Looking back I think every cheerleader in my high school and even some of the surrounding ones had that as their first car.

Just said goodbye to my Gallante’ last month. 2009 had 220,000 miles on it, and the body was beat to shite. Ended up getting 1,200 on my trade which I was very happy with
