RAYTOWN, Mo. - A Missouri man was charged with involuntary manslaughter after he allegedly went to his neighbor’s home, thinking it was his own, then choked the homeowner to death.
Police believe Michael G. Augustine was drunk at the time he allegedly killed 60-year-old Clifton King, according to WDAF.

Some feel guilty about not immediately calling police themselves when they heard the commotion. They said there are often arguments on the block, and some say it's better for them not to get involved.

You hear this kind of thing all the time but I just don’t get how anyone can mistake their own house no matter how drunk they are

He will look better in prison with a swastika symbol on his forehead. Honestly surprised he doesn't already have one.

Sounds like an honest mistake. How can they charge him?

i worked in new construction homes a long time and most builders of whole sub divisions have only 3 or 4 models of homes, all exactly identical. some of these had 3 exact same houses in a row, right down to exterior colors. most times they build model 1, 2, and 3, and then start over so every third house is the same model as the one 3 houses over.
drunk baw coming home at night can very easy be at the wrong house and when his key didnt fit is the only time he would think to figure out what is wrong. im guessing the house wasnt locked in this case.

dear lord up above
can't you see me hiding
these tears all in my eyes
send down that cloud with the silvery lining
lift me to paradise
show me that river
take me across
wash all my troubles away
like that lucky ol' sun
give me nothing to do
but roll around heaven all day

Obviously not a house but when I lived on State Street in college I was watching a movie one night about 2am and some dude just stumbles through the front door. I obviously didn't lock it. I asked him WTF he was doing in my apartment and he mumbled some shite to me and told me to frick off and turned around and shut the door
