I wouldn't be surprised if the murder charge is upped to capital murder for the trigger thug after the investigation is complete. Captial Murder faces a possible death sentence, life without parole, or life with the possibility of parole.

I don't know about MS, but in LA, 2nd degree murder is life without parole. 1st degree is death penalty or life without parole.
