And the OPs point proves exactly what I was talking about. Demand for the vaccine is high as hell. Distribution is slower than hell. How is it taking them to fricking february to allocate their current supply if the demand is there? It should take a week max

CDC tracker says that Mississippi is sitting on about 160,000 unused doses.
California is sitting on 2.5 million unused doses. Their director of health actually made a comment that states where the rollout is fast (the dakotas and WV) probably aren’t being as thoughtful around “equity” as states like California. Basically implying that a fast rollout is racist. Can’t make this stuff up

Until states can dole out the vaccine faster than the feds can deliver it, this isn’t on the feds. States aren’t even close to that.

Yea they aren’t out they just have scheduled appointments for the allocated amount available. The manufacturers can only make so much at a time and each state is receiving an allocated amount
