quote:

LAKE STEVENS, Wash. — The mother of a missing 3-year-old is thanking the Lake Stevens community after an intense and massive search for the child.

It turns out the little girl was in her own home the whole time.

The entire neighborhood mobilized to find little Athena in the 7600 block of 13th St SE.

Her mom, Kimmy Simmons said as soon as the child went missing, neighbors didn’t hesitate to look for her. Simmons said that speaks volume to the kind of community that is and for that she’s thankful.

For four agonizing hours—Simmons thought she thought it she wouldn’t get to hold her baby girl again.

Her 3-year-old daughter Athena had vanished from her room where she usually plays.

“There must have been like a hundred people in this community,” said Simmons. “Kids on scooters, like just everything to look for her and that really meant a lot to me.”

Then as Simmons’ sister was looking through different rooms for her baby’s change of clothes.

She pulled a blanket from the bed and there she was—little Athena napping under the blankets in her brother’s room.

Simmons said the family is purchasing surveillance cameras to put around the house.

How could you ever show your face in public again after losing your damn kid in your own house?

Why wouldn’t the little girl wake up from the frantic cries coming from her mother during the house search? This is weird. Doesn’t add up.

With the added proviso that the kid gets new parents.

And this was written by someone paid to write. What kind of fricking sentence is that?
