Sorry to hear about your loss.
Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family tonight.
I hope that those responsible are brought to justice swiftly.

I dont understand whats going on. I had a close relative tell me they found him at Jeanerette canal in a sugarcane field. Now they are saying they didnt. What the hell. Maybe they will find him alive. Would they not tell they found him to help in the investigation? Or was it a rumor? Is it was a rumor thats sick in its pwn right..

He was a creature of habit. You could probably set your watch by the things he habitually did every day. It seems like he rode his bike around a lot, asking people if they needed some help or trying to bestow some kindness upon them.
Was he a veteran? Where did he retire from?
I did notice his bike had the white gangster wall tires and a big basket. He seems to have been a good guy that had seen a lot of things during his time.
Once again, sorry for your loss.

shite sorry to hear that man. jeanerette is a shite hole.
No it's not.
And if you could see the hundreds of people who have shown up to search for Howard you would be ashamed of yourself.
That is, if you're capable of having shame.
Jerk.

Sorry for your loss. It seems as if he was well known and liked by the good people in the area.
He was and is.
I remember him working at the local theatre selling tickets, and concessions.
When that closed he got a job driving a cab.
He never asked for anything from anyone in his life.
When he wasn't working, he was volunteering for either the KCs, or something else at the Church.
The reason they knew something was wrong was because he didn't show up for 8:00AM Christmas Mass.
That's the kind of man he was.
He will be missed.
He was a gentle soul.

sorry to hurt your feelings but jeanerette sucks.
I applaud the people that are working to find the missing man but that doesn't change the fact that it's not a good place to live. This coming from someone who lives in Patterson so I know shitty places.

This is sad. These fricking addicts will look for any opportunity to get money for their next hit. I really hope that's not the case in this situation.

Like all small towns it has gone down.
But there are good and wonderful people there, and they are taking this case very personally.
And to call it that on a thread discussing the probable murder of a harmless old man says more about you, than the condition of Jeanerette.

I am confused, is he dead? Do they have the crackhead?

Yea I'm a terrible person. I'm glad you're able to pick up on that based off of one message board comment

I believe he has not been found yet. His garbage barrel is missing, and I am afraid he was put in that and it was weighed down and dumped in either Bayou Teche or one of the surrounding canals or lakes.
If they do arrest anyone the defense better ask for a change of venue. Howard was a much beloved person in the town. Quiet and humble. People are out for blood.

That's the only thing you've gotten right so far on this whole thread.
Now you can go back to being cool.

bro, you're being a little dramatic. It will be tried at the 16th district courthouse. They will pull the jury from 3 parishes. 99% of the jury pool will never have heard of this case.
