Not sure if this has been posted already.

quote:

On the day of his funeral, attorneys representing Wells sent spoliation letters to several of Wells’ friends and their parents. These letters typically serve as the first step in an anticipated civil lawsuit. “You are hereby placed on notice that litigation concerning the death of Nolan Wells is reasonably anticipated. Accordingly, you have an immediate legal duty to preserve all materials of all kinds within your possession, custody, or control that may be relevant in any way to the claims or defenses,” the letter reads. “This duty includes not only to you, but also your family members. It also extends to any person or entity providing services to you, acting on your behalf, or who is subject to your control.”

quote:

Magnolia Tribune has obtained a copy of the letters, which are ten pages long, identifying categories of evidence which Wells’ family is asking recipients to preserve. Materials sought include text messages, group chats, emails, phones and laptops, social media accounts, photos and videos, and boat maintenance records and fuel purchases. Magnolia Tribune has also confirmed that these letters were received by multiple friends and their families. Crump, who is not licensed to practice law in Mississippi, has associated with the Ridgeland-based law firm of Carroll Bufkin, PLLC. The letter was signed by Gary Bufkin, who is no stranger to high profile cases.

sue them for civil damages

Remember when we first heard of Sharpton, the Tawana Briley case. Horrible and totally untrue things were said by Sharpton.
His targets were awarded damages from portly Al at that time.

From what I've read, they are still waiting for him to pay.

People carry umbrella policies to deal with civil attorneys like Crump.

On another note, there’s supposedly audio in the background of the sea tow call that is suspicious.

I believe that audio has been confirmed fake. As well as an alleged image of a white kid beating a black kid that was debunked as either AI or an unrelated photo.

Maybe I missed it but where are the original autopsy reports and the official statements of local law enforcement.
There has been zero evidence of foul play so far, just online people with terrible detective skills.

The initial autopsy results won’t be revealed until the grand jury, per the DA

Unfortunately, this is going to be the norm in high profile cases like this moving forward. I just pray they forensic experts are able to differentiate between AI generated images, videos, and audio files and the real thing. We all know how quickly AI is progressing. My fear is that one day it becomes impossible to differentiate between AI and the real thing and people's lives are ruined by AI manipulated images or videos passed off as evidence of a crime they didn't commit.

My dad had 5 kids in 8 years.

He didn't want other people's kids in his house for an extended visit.

Just the way it was. There were other houses in the neighborhood that had "revolving doors" where all the 'hood kids were in and out.

As has been mentioned in this thread already the official autopsy reports are in the hands of the grand jury right now
it was handed to the grand jury because this is a sensitive political case and the DA and everybody involved has decided to go through the extra judicious process of having more people determined there was no foul play
It's all Optics because of the extra eyes that have been put on it by the screaming banshee idiots that turned a tragic accident into this clusterfrick

I have yet to hear that the toxicology and/or pathology reports have been received. The autopsy needs these reports to be completed.

Grand Jury will NOT receive any information until all information is received from state medical examiner.

FBI has stated that it appears that Nolan's death was accidental.

All info will be presented to GJ because it is a law in Jackson County for any death that isn't natural to be reviewed and a determination will be made to press charges or not

I’m skeptical of the audio, but have yet to see where it has been ruled fake. Perhaps the investigators have ruled it so.
It would be incredibly bad timing for the boaters.
Also, if there was foul play, it seems that the boats had anchors. Seems that the body would be sunk and the phone thrown in the Gulf.

They can. With ease. The issue is that the general public can't (or won't) which will taint the jury pool and sway public opinion.

These people are already stupid and gullible enough without technology fooling them.

I heard that audio and I immediately knew it was fake, because I am a skeptical mofo.

I heard the real uncut, unedited version first. Then I heard this. It's just thrown in and obvious. No where does Nolan name or him being dead comes up. You can tell in the audio they are in a slight panic and drunk. Trying to call tow company but do not want coast guard. Obviously because they are all underage and drinking. Somebody else must have called the grandpa about the tow service cause the grandpa cancelled it. The tow guy who talks to the operator states that. It really is chaotic but the boys were smart enough to get in the water, pull plug and get on plane to drain water and drive boat home.. Those people where claiming they were screaming get up to Nolan. But it was them yelling at the boat to get up on plane. Been there done that. There is no way Nolan would be on that boat and no one saw when they left the island surrounded by 100s of boats. None of what they are trying to say makes any sense and no proof to back it up. Just dumb being dumb. Never been on water, in a boat, or at an island party.

Someone clarify, but how the heck can a non-LEO (lawyer) direct other private citizens what they must do with their private property sans a judge's warrant?
