One time someone in front of me was live streaming for like 3-4 songs straight. I’m talking arms straight above her head blocking peoples views.
I found her online and hopped in the comments. Good times.

They paid for their tix and put money in her pocket. Her job is to sing and entertain after that. Unless there is more to the story.

She comes across as insecure.

Glad she is calling them out. We would like to enjoy the show without all the phones.
If she wants them to not be on their phones, then make it part of the admission requirements. Went to a Tool concert that explicitly states no phones allowed, and security walked around and gave warnings that people would be removed for using phones during the concert. It was awesome - everyone just enjoyed the show like we you’re supposed too.

Did any of you even read the article?
This thread is all the evidence anyone needs how much people here and around the world right now are just consumed by headlines, without context or what actually happened.

“They paid their money” blah blah. It’s true but also true is an annoying trend of selfies and pics where people stage themselves directly in front of the performer. And take a picture. Putting the singer in the selfie. It was probably cute the first 100 times it happens to a performer. Maybe they even interacted with the pic sometimes. But now if it is a constant parade of 1 to several people turning their backs to the stage, counting down, moving around, asking others to move, or asking to wait before returning to their seat, fricking up and blasting the singer with a flash whine standing directly in front of them.
It has to be annoying to anyone. Prince is rolling over in his grave (unless cremated). This will lead to cell phones being banned again or spotlights blasting the fans trying to take pics to obscure.
Lambert seems to be an insufferable twat but this episode? Meh. I don’t think she sought out women in the crowd taking a pic. These women were probably staging a pic directly in front of her while performing leaving a spot in the shot for her to stand while singing. Posing her instead of her posing for tue camera. Has to be distracting.

Seems like ML might ought to stipulate no photos and/or videos at her shows.
I went to see the Eagles a few years ago and they would flat kick your a$$ out if they caught you doing either. I watched a security guard give a woman down in front of me a warning, but she just couldn't help herself and they escorted her out about 10 minutes later. I kept my phone in my pocket and just enjoyed the show.

Why speculate? You can click on the links and make an actual determination yourself.

Well at least she didn't sing a song calling out Antifa and other rioters.

I agree with her. And she’s getting raked over the coals by these TikTok loving idiots

She’s getting raked over the coals because she acted like a twat.

This was idiotic on her part. She has no business calling out and embarrassing paid customers because they wanted to take a selfie. She is receiving a bunch of well deserved backlash from all over the media. I genuinely hope this hurts her career for a short time. She needs to learn some humility

When my wife was first telling me abotu this story, I was kind of floored because it seemed so unbelieveable. In my head I'm thinking she was like screaming at them, cussing them out, making them leave, etc.
When I watched the video, she just kinda calmly said hey cmon let's listenm to the show instead of taking selfies. Then started the song again. And that was it. This is much ado about nothing, which is par for the course for today's media. But I'm sure the women invovled are going to milk this for all its worth.

Why view the concert through your phone
I think a lot of people commenting in this thread didn't read the article or watch the video. They weren't holding their phones up recording the concert. They stood up to take a group selfie with the artist in the background. They didn't obstruct anyone's view. They weren't obnoxious. They were simply acting like women do when they go out. They take selfies. That's it. The artist was pissy because she wanted them to sit down and listen to her.

Was at a Black Crowes show ten years ago and Chris Robinson did the same thing. At which the crowd erupted with cheers to show their agreement.
People are so damn hyper sensitive these days. You act selfish, you get called out like you should, and then you cry and whine about getting called out and threaten to boycott.
How about not being a selfish arse and being all up in the way and disrupting those behind you?
