Yeah but I wasn't thinking about that. They could be arrested down here as well.
Law enforcement doesn't exactly like these vigilante stings. The evidence is not preserved or collected in the right way. There are other problems as well.

Vigilante justice is all fun and games until the mob beats the wrong person to death. Happens in the third world fairly often.

Vigilante justice is the result of the state failing to do what it’s supposed to do. Unfortunately, the current state is designed to cause as much chaos as possible to keep innocent law abiding people in fear of both criminals and the state.
