Yes, that is exactly correct.
This is not correct. A journalist had his tires slashed and reported about it.
This boards (laughable) opinions about "tactics" aside, the cops don't have the right to damage parked cars. I can imagine absolutely no situation where that would be justified.
What if this happened to people attending a Trump rally? Say, the cops thought they'd get out of hand for whatever reason, and they slashed tires- is that OK?
Don't be fools. The cops in this country suck. 90%+ of them are criminals. They just normally aren't this brazen about it.

Why not just snap pictures of the license plate?
that will stop them from burning down more buildings across the city!

You are correct because if they WERE, the lifeless bodies of these rioting idiots would be stacked like cord wood.
Doubtful.
You have no idea what the rules of engagement are

90%+? I don’t know about that. There are definitely some good cops out there, and I’d say there is more than 10% among all cops.
Granted, this is fricked up if actually true, but seems a little weird. They know the microscope is on them. Why would they do this? I’m worried this might just be some people in costumes trying to rouse up others.
I’d still wait to see if they are ID’ed to actual cops before I make any further judgements.

OK, 90% is likely an exaggeration. This specific incident made me think the number is higher than I'd thought previously, though.

Because they don't give a shite.
That's the problem. They believe, usually rightly, that nothing will happen to them.

It really scares me that some of you are defending this action.
Last I checked, it wasn't illegal to have bricks, stones, and sticks in a parked vehicle. It IS however illegal to damage someone's property, which is exactly what these cops did.
The rioters were up to no good, I agree, but deal with the rioters by arresting them and charging them with the crimes they have caused.
This is some Minority Report "pre-crime" BS right here.
Also, it wasn't even the Minny city police. It was two different area police departments including state police. That entire state is so screwed up.
This is what liberal government control looks like. This is what communism looks like.

Cops keep this kind of shite up, soon the libertarians will have enough and jump in against them as well. Then it's trouble.

I don’t know. This just seems too stupid.

100%. If this is real, they need to see some consequences.

What's a few tires when the whole city is burning?
Seriously though, these cops are their own worst enemies.

Whoa there hoss. I’m not “defending” it. No clue as to the legality of it. Don’t really like either side (although I wouldn’t go against the NG) and there are bad actors on both sides as evidenced in countless videos.
But...if these folks want to go to war, and that is exactly what these Antifa punks have put forth, they can’t go crying to mommy when the bear bites back.
Like I said it’s a sound tactical move for limiting the mobility of those who are participating in these events. Do you get all weepy when the rioters destroy a cop car or burn out a police station?
These people claim to want a revolution and can’t handle some flat tires?

I put it around 50% from personal experience. But the decent ones usually get promoted to desk jobs, so you're left with a higher rate of the over reactive a-holes on the streets.

You could equally say that for the rioters

Except, we kinda have a thing in this country where public funded officials such as police, military, and NG, are held to a higher standard, due to the power they exercise.

You are talking about the journalists?
We have separate roles for cop, judge, jury, and executioner in this country, because the cops have shown they do a lousy job when they try to perform all roles at the same time.
Posted on 6/9/20 at 2:13 pm to Dizz
Hey idiot, when rioters are throwing Molotov Coctails in your car what do want them to do, spray the rioters with mace?? You re so dumb!!

Explain to me how the police's actions help the riot situation.
People are already on edge and angry at them, so they do something to fuel that anger?
No. This wasn't a preventative measure, it was a bully tactic.
