You'll love it a lot more than the suburban. We gave up a big SUV for a 2018 odyssey and haven't looked back. Sliding doors make it so much easier to get babies into car seats and the kids can't rip them open into the side of another vehicle.

We're about to have our third as well. When we came in to visit parents in New Orleans I rented a Sienna. The ease at which I was able to walk around and get kids in/out compared to our SUV was freaking incredible. The room you have is simply amazing. I'd consider it in the future when we need a new car and have 3

They are purpose built for hauling kids and no other vehicle compares. It has more space than any crossover and matches the suburban, but easier to drive daily. Every auto website will tell you that it is stupid to get an SUV in place of a minivan for a family with small kids. If the only reason against getting a van is the stigma, think about how stupid it is to forego a vehicle that is more functional and easier to drive because you are concerned about reputation. You are a parent three times over now so do the adult thing.

The pacifica was my volunteer vehicle at the players golf tournament. Not quite a mini van not quite a suv. It was awesome.

I would recommend checking it out. Great ride and features. Not comolete shite like i expected from chrysler.

Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna would be the best two options.

I've yet to hear anyone regret getting a minivan over an SUV for hauling kids.

Turn in your man card.

Or get a suburban.

I had to rent a minivan recently because 6 of us had to road trip about 3,000 miles total.

It was easily the best, smoothest riding road trip I've ever taken. It was so easy loading and unloading. Very comfortable. I would have bought a minivan just after that trip if I had a use for one on a full time basis.

Right. Listen to the people who actually have them. They are super functional for families. Again they are purpose built for this. Vans are infinitely more practical than crossovers which look really close to vans anyways, just much less practical.

And unless someone frequently uses higher tow capacity/ground clearance, it makes a lot more sense to save the $15-20k and get a van over a suburban. People may question your "man card" or say you have given up on life if you get a minimvan just like in here, but just be an adult and make the best decision for your family (cheaper and more functional in almost every way)

That'd be a no brainrr for yes.

Get a toyota or Honda. Buy used. My sienna was like 20K with less than 30K miles and had leather.

The sienna has more road noise.

Wife and I have 3. We just bought a Yukon and love it. Three rows, everyone fits comfortably. And I much rather drive a bigger suv that a minivan.

The wife has a 2007 Honda Odyssey with 180,000 miles on it. I bought that thing new for $24,995. She dogs the shite out it. Countless trips to Disney, Smokey Mountains and Florida beaches. I asked her every year after it turned 100,000 miles if she's ready for a Tahoe or Yukon . The answer is always Hell No, she loves her van.

Just say NO! Don't get a mini van. Every time I see one of those things on the interstate going 80 to 90 miles an hour I know there's a dude driving and who doesn't want to be behind the wheel. They look so sad and depressed driving that thing. If you feel like you got to get one, promise never to drive it.

Get a smaller SUV or a wagon she can handle.
