Why would junior high and high school kids need to pay rent. If you’re older than that, you made some poor choices.

there are like 540,000 people on minimum wage out of the 80 something million hourly workers.
I doubt I could even find a job only paying minimum wage rt now. I drove by a fricking Arby's saying $10/hr.
Get yourself a roommate.
Oh, and arent farmers begging for workers right now? Those frickers can go double or triple their wages rt now if they want to.

My rent was never above 800 in college for a one bed room. Hell we paid 1200 for a 3 once, so that was only 400.

High rent has nothing to do with minimum wage.
In places like new york its high demand with not as many properties available.
Or its foreign companies buying up property.
Or the housing market crashing sending owners into rentals, raising rental prices.
Or more people are going to school, delaying marriage and staying in rentals longer.

You seem completely stuck on not being able to comprehend that people in 2020 basically don't make the minimum wage.
Well, the topic is minimum wage. You obviously want to talk about a different topic. Start your different thread on your different topic and continue talking to yourself.
By the way, if everyone already pays higher than minimum wage, there will be no impact if it is raised.

there's a law that prohibits them from having a roommate?

Based on one of my most recent experience at Wendys, I don't give a frick. Those people don't want to work, theyre just there because they have to be.

No shite. Minimum wage jobs aren't careers. Not supposed to be able to live off that shite, they are temp until you get out of school and begin your career.

The world has a population problem.
We need to stop paying people to feed and breed.
The only thing that saves civilization is a cold, hard dose of Darwinism.....I wish I wasn't right.....

Min wage was never meant to support a person to afford rent or mortgage payments.
It was created to give a minimum wage. That’s it.
It has morphed into a new ideological argument about ‘living wage’ but that is an entirely different thing. No government should mandate a ‘living wage’. There is no way in any economically sound principal that it makes sense to pay a fry cook an hourly wage suitable to pay for cost of living expenses.
Bring on the machines
