The economic conditions determine the economic value of the job. It isn't "set" when aliens come to attack us do you think this big fat models will be getting paid the same? No because no one will want to associate with the person that is gonna get eaten by aliens first.

Good thing that only around 2% of all workers make minimum wage

I know that is the correct stat but it just seems like there would be more, considering you're talking about every Walmart worker, fast food and restaurant worker.

That isn’t even close to true. Minimum wage buys about the same as minimum wage did then.

Full-time minimum wage workers cannot afford a two-bedroom rental anywhere in the U.S. and cannot afford a one-bedroom rental in 95% of U.S. counties, according to the National Low Income Housing Coalition’s annual “Out of Reach” report.

So find a roommate. Also, minimum wage shouldn’t be for a career

frick off with this bleeding heart bullshite. It’s not lack of opportunity that an adult is barely literate and has no marketable skills to the point that they can do nothing of value

It artificially raises all other hourly wages above their economic value, further driving up inflation

The real issue is that it hasn’t kept pace with inflation for years
Actually, this not only is NOT an issue, the facts on the ground actually PROVE what people like me have said forever.

Namely, that the minimum wage is irrelevant. That's why nearly no-one even makes minimum wage anymore. A dirty secret liberals seem oblivious to.

In the early-80s, as many as 15% of all hourly workers were minimum wage. Even in 1985, that was around 10%. In 2019, that number was just over 2%.

THUS, the real world has PROVEN that the liberal argument that you NEED a minimum wage is utterly false. Hell, even 15 years ago, my daughter, in her FIRST job as a teenager made almost $9 an hour at fricking Walmart.

It's so comical that the real world PROVES you frickers entirely wrong on the subject, and, you can't even see it.
