Maybe the light is staying on when the door is shut. That will warm up the fridge. Have you tried opening it real fast to see the light turn on?

Even though the light bulb may still be illuminating, it is no longer cooling. Change the light bulb. Make sure you get one with the cooling feature

he must have a CFL in there, he should move to an LED for the better cooling characteristics
