Sounds like you should get back to work and stop spending company time monitoring your coworkers. Stop stealing, boomer.

Or posting on TD from his iphone on company time for that matter. Do you think he is posting from a company computer? Hypocritical boomer.

Nail on the head. Social Justice and political activism do not pay very well much less put food on the table.

People who suck as individuals prefer collectivism. Regardless of what field these people are in, theyll struggle.

also, many boomers went straight into the labor force and there were tons of construction and manufacturing jobs back then

It died in the 70s. Jobs were extremely difficult to come by.

Life has never been easier or safer than it is right now.

Safer, possibly. Easier, not even close. Having a stay at home mom to run the house and raise kids is far easier than 2 parents struggling to make ends meet and raise kids at the same time. There's not even a close comparison.

Well, when i come in on my shift and have to smooth things over with clients and fix all the frick ups they made, maybe they should pay me half of their check for having to do my job and theirs.

Yeah, that's just called work. Every job is like that and in every generation. It's not a unique problem to millenials, or Gen-X, or boomers.

Are we acting like the former isn't still occurring all over the place?

going straight into the work force eliminate student loans and give a 4-5 year head start on earnings.

Better yet, going to trade school for 2 years and learning a trade you can make good money in minus the amount of student debt.

At the same rate at is did post-WWII? I'd like to see statistics that show it.

Someone who's mentally strong wouldn't post such a flippant, absurd remark.

Or you fail to acknowledge that the world has changed and there are lot of folks out there struggling.

Yeah, that's what I found as well.

quote:

In 1967, 49 percent of mothers were stay-at-home mothers. That proportion steadily dropped through the decades until 1999, when only 23 percent of moms stayed at home. Since 1999, the percentage of mothers who stayed at home began to increase again, rising by 6 points to 29 percent in 2012. The researchers note that recent declines in the labor force participation rate and rising immigration were likely factors in the increase of the stay-at-home rate. They also indicate that the rise in the proportion of mothers who stayed at home will not likely continue because most mothers surveyed would like to work part-time or full-time.

Yeah, it's EASIER now that 25% fewer mothers are home to raise their own children. This must be the same way walking uphill to school in the snow with no shoes is easier.

So literally 1/5 - what an amazing rarity

Also, I'm not going to google an obscure statistic about stay at home mom rates because it's not inherently connected, in any meaningful way, with the concept that life in 2019 is safer/easier than in prior decades.

Here, I'll help you:

"Life is easier in 2019, safer too"

"NOT IF YOU'RE IN THE SUBSET OF WOMEN WHO WOULD HAVE STAYED AT HOME WITH A WORKING HUSBAND IN 1975 BUT NOW ARE IN THE WORKFORCE"

There you go. Now you're not making utterly stupid generalizations.
