Oh gmafb. Having kids is a lot bigger than how some random people might perceive you at your yet to be born child's sports activity.

Are people really that fricking vain? Ridiculous. Probably a boomer mentality.

Geez dude. Chill out. It was a lite hearted joke. Not a serious statement worth getting triggered about.

Why do we believe this small sample size? I know so many people who you can classify as millenials that got married and divorced before 30-35.
Wait. So your argument against the small sample size of the entire american population of millennials, is supported by your sample size of a few friends

Maybe you should get in better shape or take care of your body better. Might not make a difference, but it could help you.

we went on to elaborate that you might not be in the physical condition to interact with your kid growing up as you get older.

any healthy 40something year old should be able to adequately interact with their kids

But you know there's a pinch of truth in it.

Im not saying you want to strive to be a mean girl, but to say you dont care at all is BS.

I won't care if they think I'm the 'old' guy because I had a kid later in life.

I will definitely care if they make fun of my cargo shorts and crocs.

It wasn’t a matter of being out of shape or not taking care of myself.

healthy people die all the time.

wtf all he was saying, and i agree with, not everyone is in top shape in their 40-50s. you never know what will happen to you as you age.

I watched my mother go from a beautiful, healthy, active 60 year old who like like she was 40, to a dying at 64 looking like a 90 year old woman due to cancer and chemo.

that the "better hurry up and have kids young" narrative isn't necessarily accurate

It's not so much that as trying to pay for college when you're hitting retirement age, or your kids trying to take care of their kids and you at the same time

38 isn't that old to have a kid. It's on the upper end of the range for me at least but not bad.

My daughter was born when I was 29. She'll graduate HS when I'm 47.

Unfortunately it's also common to start cranking out kids as soon you get married. So now there's all of these divorced couples with no education and 3+ kids at 30.

Those are called "Hard Swipe lefts" on Bumble.

Nobody is saying have kids right out of high school. I just suggested to TH03 that is since he’s hit 30, I recommend he not wait too much longer to have kids. Didn’t tell him to knock up his wife tonight or anything. Just not wait too much longer to do it.
